FAQ

How do I take care of my new ceramic piece?

All pieces are dishwasher safe, although handwashing is technically best for handmade ceramics. It just extends the life of the piece, as sometimes dish detergents are hard on ware over time. Anything marked "luster" contains gold, and thusly should not be placed in the microwave. Otherwise, all pieces are microwave safe.

How do you make your work?

I work with stoneware and stoneware/porcelain clay bodies locally produced in Minnesota. I make most items on an electric wheel, and use many different types of firing, including electric, gas reduction, wood firing, and soda firing. I really love the aspects of chemistry and art working together, so the atmospheric firing is my favorite! It's different every time, and causes pieces to be very unique. Most glazes are food safe, unless stated otherwise on the piece description.

I photograph each piece in natural lighting with minimal editing to get the proper depiction of the color of the pottery. However, glazes can look different in varied lighting and on a screen, so please keep that in mind. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Do you take returns?

No, I do not take returns. All items are final sale.

When will my order ship?

I ship everything USPS Priority Mail, and will do my best to ship pots out as soon as possible after sales. I do this all myself, so please be patient with me!
